Welcome to The Working Parent Forum- the place to chat to other WP’s, share tips and advice or have a moan!
To get started you will need to register for free with a username, you can then create your own profile.
Uploading a Profile Picture
Once you are logged in head to your profile, you can do this by clicking your username located in the top right-hand corner of your screen. To add a profile image (also known as an avatar) you press the button to choose an image from your computer. Simply select your chosen image from your computer files and press ‘Upload Image’. Once uploaded you have the option to crop it if you wish, then you press ‘Crop Image’ and voila.
Adding images to your posts
From within your forum post press the ‘IMG’ button located centrally at the top of your post. Pop in the URL of your chosen image, to find this you simply right click your mouse on the image you wish to select. You then press ‘Copy Image URL’ and paste that into the pop-up box on your screen before pressing okay. A new pop-up will appear asking you to provide a description of your image, this could be anything relevant to the image. Finally press ‘okay’ and you’re done!
Adding a Friend
When you are logged in simply head to the profile of the member you wish to add as a friend. You can do this by clicking their profile picture or name or searching for them at the top of the site in the search bar. The next step is to click the grey ‘person’ icon located adjacent to that member’s username. That user will be notified by email that you have added them as a friend, they can then accept your invitation.
Sending a Private Message
When you are logged in to your account head over to the profile of the member you wish to message. Click their username or profile picture to do this. Adjacent to their username you will see an envelope icon, press this and type your private message to them before pressing ‘Send Message’.
