    Heavy drinking during any stage of pregnancy may lead to many complications ranging from low birth weight to miscarriage. Everyone in the health sector advises pregnant women not to drink, but if you do you should limit yourself with;

    One or two units, once or twice a week – don’t drink to get drunk!

    What is a unit?

    * Half a pint of beer or lager
    * One measure of spirits
    * A small glass of wine
