There’s nothing better than sat watching a movie cuddled up on the sofa, but can it get better? Yes it can, being cuddled up with a heated throw is much better!

By turning down the thermostat by a couple of degrees, it will save quite a lot over the winter, as will setting the timer so that the heating does not warm an empty house.

Try a low energy heater for the room you are rather than turning on the heating for the whole house.

Has to be put your boiler on a timer so you can keep the house warm when you are actually going to be in it.

I really feel the cold, but live in a big old house and just can’t afford to have the heating on much. So I’m usually wrapped in a fleece blanket. I wear lots and lots of layers. I even wear a big pair of fleece jogging bottoms over my trousers around the house, sometimes with two fleece jackets over my regular clothes. Two pairs of socks, and sometimes a hot water bottle too. I really need a heated throw!

I drink lots of tea, wear loads of layers and try to get plenty of exercise to help my circulation!
