This is a cooking tip- introduce extra veg into meals by grating up carrot or chopping courgette up really small and adding it to the food! Great for fussy-veg eaters because you can’t even tell it’s there!
I get my boys to help with the preparation of meals – peeling potatoes, setting the table etc…. they always seem to eat much better when they think they have made the dinner !
When you have some rare spare time cook large quantities of freezable foods like chilli, curry or soup. Freeze in portions and then when you have a very busy day dinner is easy to make.
Best advice i can give to a new parent is accept help when it is offered there is no shame in admitting you are exhausted. Also develop a thick skin towards interfering parents, they are only trying to help and often don’t realise they are being overbearing.
make sure you have tea coffee and sugar and milk available for guests visiting when babys here, say if they want a brew they are to help themselves. you just had a baby you arent there to waite on everyone else.
