Avocaat is generally enjoyed by many at Christmas time, it’s pretty easy to make yourself with this very simple recipe:
Units: US | Metric
1 1/4 cups granulated sugar
3/4 teaspoon vanilla extract
1/2 teaspoon lemon extract
1 cup vanilla vodka or 1 cup vodka
1 egg yolk
2/3 cup evaporated milk
1. Blend all ingredients in a blender for 30 seconds until they are mixed well.
2. Pour into container, cap and refrigerate. Let it age for 1 to 2 weeks to mellow.
3. The color will intensify as it ages, reaching a more traditional light shade of yellow.
