Lamb Curry- Weaned babies

Lamb curry with rice

Suitable from 12 months old


• 8oz lamb, cubed

• 1 small onion, chopped

• 1tbsp olive oil

• 1 garlic clove, chopped

• 1/s tsp ground coriander

• Pinch of ginger

• 1 bay leaf

• Pinch of cinnamon

• ½ red pepper, chopped

• 2tbsp natural yogurt

• 4oz chopped tomatoes

• 1tsp fresh coriander, chopped

• 1/2tsp paprika


• Preheat the oven to 190*c. Heat the oil in a large pan then add the onion and garlic.

• Fry for a few minutes, stirring constantly. Mix the ground coriander and paprika with enough water to form a paste.

• Add the ginger, cinnamon and bay leaf to the hot pan and fry for 2mins. Add the paprika paste mix and fry until the water disappears.

• Empty the onion mixture into an ovenproof dish and add the land cubes, tomatoes, red pepper, yogurt and 1tbsp of water. Cover and cook for 30mins.

• After 30mins, stir and cook for a further 30mins.

• Once cooked add the fresh coriander and serve with rice.
