Mustard roasties are a side that are also lovely served at room temperature.

1kg (2lb 2oz) baby new potatoes

1tbsp olive oil

1tbsp wholegrain mustard

300g (11oz) cherry tomatoes

1. Preheat the oven to 200°C (180°C fan) mark 6. Put the potatoes in a medium roasting tin, add the oil, mustard and some salt and pepper, and mix together (using your hands is easiest).

2. Roast potatoes in the oven for 45 min or until they are tender  you should be able to push a knife easily through a potato. Add the cherry tomatoes and return the tin to the oven for 5min until their skins burst.

3. Empty the potatoes into a serving dish and serve.

These mustard roasties are an alternative to mashed potatoes or chips and can be as a side for lots of main meals.
