I don’t know about you but I am constantly on the hunt for my next bargain! My passion is shopping and looking for good deals on the High Street and online, its great fun and saves me a fortune. Top end fashion boutiques are great but not for someone like me on a budget. Here are a few tips to successful bargain hunting….

Family shopping for clothes

The High Street

PRIMARK  is one of the best budget fashion shops on the high street right now, with fabulous up to date fashion at rock bottom prices. Always check out the sale rails as they are hugely discounted. The jewellery is up to date and so cheap, so whatever outfit you choose pick up some fabulous bling to match.

H&M supply trendy clothing and up to date fashion, H&M are great for separates including t shirts, vest tops and cardigans, these key pieces are reasonably priced but always check the sales too.

NEW LOOK are great with their up to date fashion designs, ideal if you are looking for something trendy for your teenagers without paying a fortune. I have found some great bargains here and I am certainly not a teenager! They cater for all ages and sizes, the sales are fantastic and New Look tend to have them on all year round.

RIVER ISLAND and TOPSHOP are the top end of the budget for the young trendy fashionista. The fashion is bang up to date and most popular with the young trendy teens, but if you cant afford their prices then have a look on eBay you most probably will find what you are looking much cheaper.

Online Shopping

AMAZON are very competitive, try looking for what you want and compare the prices to the High Street. Amazon has virtually anything you will need and the prices are usually cheaper than the shops. Great for shopping without the hours trawling the shops.

ASOS AND BOOHOO are fabulous up to date fashion stores online, very reasonable and again at a fraction of the price of the designer stores. Both of these online stores cater for the young, and the not so young too!! They often have great sales and if you are looking for something thats a little bit different to what the high street has to offer then you really should have a look.

VOUCHER CODES Always look out for voucher codes and promotions when shopping online save yourself a few quid. There are various sites online where you can find specific codes for the online stores you like to visit. If you join the mailing list for some of the online stores they will automatically send you the promotions and offers that they have on at the time.

Handy tips

  • Make a deal with yourself on your shopping trip, you could give yourself a budget for a particular outfit or the look you want to achieve, this makes hunting for your fashion pieces fun and of course saves you money. Alternatively, tell yourself not to buy anything at full price and either buy in the sale with a good reduction off or simply ask for discount! Give it a try, you really have nothing to lose!
  • Compare prices online you can often save a fortune if you have a little time and patience.
  • Check out Debenhams and House of Fraser online especially when they are having their Blue Cross sales. Although the bargains in store are great you could get even better reductions online, plus if you cant find your size in store you are more likely to find it in stock online.
